Sharing Our Resources: Hospitality That Changes Your Networks

I once showed up to a potluck with nothing but a smile—learned real fast that a smile won’t fill a plate. Lesson? Generosity isn’t what you intend; it’s what you bring. In our February 2026 Men’s Breakfast Network we focus on Chapter 7 of The Measure of a Man calls this out plainly: mature men practice hospitality and share their resources with people who have real needs. That’s Warrior culture. We give first, we serve with joy, and we open doors for others.

The Biblical Blueprint: Do Good to All

  • “So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people…” (Galatians 6:10).
  • Translation for today’s Networking Warrior: start with your brothers, and don’t stop at the church doors. Bless your neighbors, your city, and your sphere of influence.

A Neighborhood Party That Sparked a Movement

Gene Getz shares an example when back in the early days of his Church in Dallas, a couple of members did something simple and bold: they invited their neighbors to a Christmas party—no pressure, just “Come share what Christmas means to you.” People from all backgrounds showed up. Some already knew the true meaning of Christmas; others were curious. By the end of the night, they shared their story of Jesus with clarity and kindness—and neighbors came to faith.

  • One couple, arrived skeptical; they left transformed. Invited to church the next morning, they saw a young Dad ask for prayer after losing his job. A week later, that Dad testified he found 20+ bags of groceries and money on his doorstep. That’s hospitality with horsepower.
  • The idea multiplied—other neighbors hosted parties, more people believed, and a new church plant took root. The same simple model spread as far as India, where Christmas gatherings opened hearts and homes to the Gospel.

Hospitality changes networks because open doors make open hearts possible.

The Warrior Way: Hospitality in the Marketplace

At Warrior Networking, we don’t confuse “networking” with handshakes and business cards. We practice biblical hospitality in modern clothes: open calendars, open homes, open-handed generosity.

  • Give first, ask second.
  • Share wins and lessons without theatrics.
  • Make warm introductions that move needles.
  • Keep small promises fast—trust compounds.

  3. The 3–2–1 Share
    • 3 introductions you will make.
